El Mercedes Montaño es un Encuentro Nacional e Internacional de Danzas Folclóricas celebrado en la ciudad de Cali, Colombia. Fui seleccionada por la Secretaría de Cultura de Cali, por medio de la agencia Ternario y su campaña #CaliesCulturaPopular para trabajar en la imagen oficial de su catorceavo Festival, año 2023.
El cliente expone la importancia de resaltar a los niños, participantes de los semilleros y principales actores encargados de llevar el legado de la danza a las siguientes generaciones. También se pide que se resalte el territorio, de donde provienen la mayoría de los participantes. Se propone entonces a los infantes como epicentro rodeados de parejas diversas con trajes típicos de diferentes regiones en Colombia. El territorio se expande apoderándose del escenario, que es Cali, quien sirve de plataforma para su presentación.
Se genera el cartel oficial del evento e iteraciones para diferentes redes sociales.

Mercedes Montaño is a National and International Folk Dance Meeting celebrated in Cali, Colombia.
I was selected by the Secretary of Culture in Cali through Ternario Agency and the campaing #CaliesCulturaPopular to work in its 14th Festival official image, year 2023.
The client requested to highlight the children as the seedbed participants and main actors in charge of taking the dance legacy to next generations. The client also asked to represent Colombia's natural territory since that's where most of its participants come from. I proposed the children as the center surrounded by diverse couples using different tradional folk dance Colombian outfits. The territory is expanding, taking the whole scenario that meants to represent the city of Cali as the platform for its showcase.
I created the official poster for the event, and different adaptations for social media.
